By using EV-BOY Connect, you agree to these terms. "We" means EV-BOY Limited.
What the app does
EV-BOY Connect connects to your car over Bluetooth, records the energy of each charge and works out its cost. It adds a read-only car key to your car. That key can't unlock the car, drive it or change its settings. If the car is asleep, the app wakes it briefly, and only when it needs to read data. See the Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.
Free to use
EV-BOY Connect is free, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions. The charging costs shown in the app are what you pay charging operators or electricity companies, not us.
Your responsibilities
- Only connect the app to a car you own or have the owner's permission to use.
- Keep your phone secure. Anyone with access to it may see your charging history.
- Don't attempt to break, modify or misuse the app or our services.
Independent app
EV-BOY Connect is an independent app. It isn't affiliated with any car maker, charging operator or electricity company.
Cost calculations
Costs in the app are calculated from published prices, the home rate you set or amounts you enter, and may differ from your actual bill. Your operator's or electricity company's bill is what counts. Published prices and rates can change at any time.
Car keys
Removing a car in the app or uninstalling the app doesn't remove the key from your car. You can delete it from the car's key list.
Changes to the service
We may update, pause or discontinue some features. We'll try to let you know in the app.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we don't guarantee that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect losses arising from using or being unable to use the app, including decisions based on its cost calculations. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we'll change the effective date above. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the new terms.
